Our Orthodontic Technology
iTero Digital Intra-oral Scanner
Dr. Bockow uses the iTero intra-oral scanner to take digital impressions of her patient’s teeth. Digital impressions are the most accurate way to represent the teeth. Using CAD/CAM technology, Dr. Bockow can complete a digital prediction of the proposed orthodontic tooth movement, allowing for increased predictability in orthodontic treatment.
The iTero scanner has a direct link to Invisalign, allowing for the fastest turn-around time for her patients. This technology helps her patients receive their Invisalign trays quickly.
Dr. Bockow uses the state-of-the-art Innovation Active Self-Ligation bracket. This bracket utilizes a gate to hold the wire in, guiding the teeth to gently slide along the wires. These brackets allow for gentle and efficient tooth movement at the beginning of orthodontics, and fine and precise control towards the end. These brackets help reduce plaque build-up because they do not have the rubberized ties – helping keep you and your family’s teeth cavity-free.
Your oral and dento-facial health is important to us. When appropriate, we utilize three-dimensional radiographs to analyze not only the teeth, but how much bone is surrounding them, the health and shape of your temporo-mandibular joints, your airway, and the position of your jaws in all planes of space. This helps us derive customized treatment plans for each of our patients.
